Wolves starlet linked with big-money move to Liverpool

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is being linked with a move to Liverpool, as per a report by the Express.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Midlands club this season and has been a key player for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. They could face a battle to hold onto him in the summer with Liverpool showing an interest.

The report suggests if Wolves are to lose Neves, they have Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca lined up as a replacement. However, it would take a huge offer for Wolves to sell him as they will have no intentions of selling their star man, especially ahead of their Premier League campaign next season.

Ruben Neves made the shock move to the Championship from Porto for £16 million in the summer. This transfer certainly raised some eyebrows but he has lived up to his expectations. There is no surprise to see him being linked with Liverpool.

He started his career at Porto and played 93 times for the Portuguese giants before his move to England. He has featured in 38 games this season and has scored 6 goals. Some of his goals have been beauties, most notably his volley against Derby County in their 2-0 win in April.

Wolves fans will be hoping the rumours of their main man Ruben Neves to Liverpool are false and that they keep hold of him this summer.
