Five players Blackburn Rovers should sign in the summer

Blackburn Rovers have had a great season in League One and look set for a return to the Championship. Here are five players they should sign in the summer-

Lyle Taylor, AFC Wimbledon- The 28-year-old striker has scored 26 goals over the last two seasons in League One and is out of contract in the summer. If Blackburn do go up, he would be a decent signing for them as he would offer them another option going forward in the Championship.

Grant Leadbitter, Middlesbrough- The experienced Boro midfielder is also a free agent in the summer and would be a shrewd signing for Rovers if they get promotion. He knows the Championship very well and would be a useful player for them.

Mohamed Eisa, Cheltenham Town- The promising striker has been on fire in League Two this season for Cheltenham and has scored 20 goals in his first season in the Football League. He has proven that he should be playing at a higher level and Blackburn should take a gamble on him.

Samir Carruthers, Sheffield United- He has struggled to nail down a regular starting place at Sheffield United this season but would be decent signing for Blackburn. He is a talented footballer and would add some more depth to Tony Mowbray’s squad next season.

Anthony Pilkington, Cardiff City- He is another who is in and out of Cardiff’s team in the Championship but would fit in nicely into Blackburn’s starting eleven. If Rovers do get promoted, then Pilkington is someone who they should target.
