Three Barnsley players Paul Heckingbottom could lure to Elland Road

It is expected to be a busy summer at Leeds United with Paul Heckingbottom expected to make a number of signings to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad. Here are 3 current Barnsley who he could potentially try and sign-

Andy Yiadom- The full-back is out of contract at Barnsley in the summer and has been linked with a move to Leeds United. Paul Heckingbottom signed him from League Two side Barnet for Barnsley in 2016 and he has adapted very well to life in the Championship. He was the subject of bids from Premier League duo Swansea City and Huddersfield Town last summer but remained at Oakwell. However, he is expected to leave them at the expiry of his contract and Leeds is a likely destination.

Joe Williams- He is currently on loan at Barnsley from Premier League side Everton. Paul Heckingbottom signed him in the summer on a season-long loan and also tried to sign him on a permanent deal in January for the Tykes. He is a believed to be a big fan of the 21-year-old and has now been linked with a move for him in the summer with Leeds. Everton may be keen on loaning him out again so he can get more first-team experience, so a move to Leeds could be on the cards.

Oli McBurnie- Paul Heckingbottom signed him for Barnsley on loan from Swansea City in January. He has been in fine form for the Tykes since his move and has scored 7 goals in 11 games. McBurnie, who was born in Leeds, has been linked with a move to his home-town club in the summer nd a re-union with Paul Heckingbottom could be in the pipeline.
