Aston Villa’s promotion chances are in the balance with it looking like they will be in the Play-Offs. Steve Bruce has had Play-Off success with Hull City in the past and will be hoping for the same with Villa. Here are three deals he could pursue in the summer-
Jake Livermore, West Bromwich Albion- It looks like the England international will be relegated to the Championship with West Bromwich Albion but Aston Villa have been linked with a move for him recently. Steve Bruce knows Livermore very well from their time at Hull City together, but his chances of bringing him to Villa Park this summer rest on whether Villa can get promoted to the Premier League.
Massimo Luongo, Queens Park Rangers- He is another midfielder who has been linked with Villa over the past few days and who could be a target in the summer. The Australian international, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur and Swindon Town, has impressed in the Championship this season with QPR and is expected to be at the World Cup in Russia in June.
Charlie Austin, Southampton- This deal will rest on if Aston Villa are promoted and if Southampton get relegated to the Championship. Steve Bruce’s side have been linked with the England international in the summer. He is a proven goal scorer in the Premier League and would be some signing by the Midlands club. He has previously played for Swindon Town, Burnley and QPR.
