Brentford agree fee for Scott Hogan

Reports are circulating this morning that Brentford Fc have agreed a fee with Rochdale A.F.C to take the 22-year-old down south.

The Salford born star began his career at Rochdale at youth level back in 2009, however after being released from the club in 2010 he was plunged into the depths of non-league football playing multiple teams before eventually being re-signed for the Dale.

Last season Hogan scored 19 goals in all competitions helping Rochdale earn their promotion to League 1 with them finishing 3rd in League 2.

Reports earlier on in the week were circulating that Leeds United had lodged a bid for the League 2 striker however Leeds later denied they had on their official website. Leeds would of noticed the striker from last year’s fixture which saw Hogan bag a brace against them in their shock 2-0 loss during the FA Cup last season.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton is a keen admirer of Hogan who currently only has 12 months remaining on his contract at Spotland Stadium.
