Things at Bradford City are going from bad to worse after this morning news of Paul Taylor being released to being batter 5-0 on the seaside.
Taylor joined the Bantams on a free at the start of last summer’s transfer window from Peterborough, who he joined the year before after a 12-month career break. He’s featured in 27 League One games for City this season, scoring six times.
But in Bradford City’s official statement, the club say that Taylor has left “by mutual consent” and for “non-football related reasons.” The Bantams go on to stress that no further news will be coming from them regarding the reasons of his leaving the club and ask that “his privacy is respected.”
If things wasn’t bad enough Bradford made the trip to Blackpool hopeful of bringing home three points but was left humiliated.
A Nathan Delfouneso hat-trick helped ease Blackpool’s relegation fears as they thrashed Bradford City in scintillating style at Bloomfield Road.
First half goals from Nathan Delfouneso (2) and Viv Solomon-Otabor meant the result was never really in doubt. Bradford did improve slightly in the second half, but Pool capped off a fine win – their most comfortable of the season – with Delfouneso’s third of the afternoon and a late effort from Sean Longstaff.
Unbelievable bit of individual skill from on-loan @BCFC‘s @VivSolomon17 as he turns two defenders before slotting into the far corner in a convincing win for @BlackpoolFC today. #Blackpool

The margin of victory could have been even more emphatic given the dominant nature of the Seasiders’ first-half display.
Former Pool manager Simon Grayson, now in charge of the Bantams, endured a torrid afternoon as the Bradford fans chanted for ex-boss Stuart McCall.
It’s clear to see Bradford City fans are furious with the humiliation at Blackpool today.
Too many players got too comfortable when the going was good and it was all nice around the club. Now that the going is tough only 1 or 2 are standing up and fighting whilst the rest hide and are unwilling to do the nasty stuff that you need in a run like this #bcafc

Players clearly don’t wanna perform anymore so sack off the season, try and make sure we’re safe from relegation and start sorting shit out #bcafc

What a shambles this club has become over the last few months. #bcafc

Pathetic – The word Simon Grayson used to some up Bradford City players.
Real honesty from him – “lack of fight, desire – I’d get rid of them if I could”#bcafc
