Middlesbrough were founded in 1876, joining the Football League and moving to long-term home ground Ayresome Park 27 years later in 1903. Boro remained there until moving to the Riverside Stadium in 1995, where the club have played both Premier League and European football. Middlesbrough won the League Cup in 2004 and were UEFA Cup runners-up in 2006.
