Wolves set to beat Premier League sides to the signing of Hartlepool United star

Wolves are set to beat West Ham United and Leicester City to the signing of Hartlepool United’s Harrison Webster, according to The Sun.

The Championship leaders have already taken the promising youngster on trial this season and are in pole position to land him in the summer.

Webster, who is 15 years old, is on the brink of breaking into the first-team at National League side Hartlepool United. They were relegated from League Two on the final day of last season and are now managed by former Middlesbrough defender Matthew Bates.

Webster is highly rated by Hartlepool United but they will be resigned to losing him in the summer. He has been a target for Premier League sides, such as West Ham and Leicester, but it is Wolves which is the most likely destination for him.

Wolves are top of the Championship and look set to clinch the title under Nuno Espirito Santo. They will be playing in the Premier League next season, unless they have a mighty fall which is highly unlikely.

The signing of Harrison Webster would be a promising one for Wolves fans and will certainly show their intentions of planning for the future. It is no secret that Wolves have money to spend and will no doubt spend big again this summer in preparation for the top flight in the next campaign.
