Birmingham City have had a tough season but are now in relatively confident mood after the appointment of Garry Monk as manager. Here are five players they could lose for free in the summer-

Paul Robinson- The vastly experienced defender’s contract with the Blues expires at the end of the season. The 39-year-old is the club captain for Birmingham and has played over 150 games for them.

Jason Lowe- Birmingham snapped up the midfielder on a free transfer from Blackburn Rovers at the end of last season. on a one-year deal. However, he has struggled to nail down a regular starting place and could be set to leave St. Andrews in the summer after just 12 months at the club.

Kyle McFarlane- The young striker signed a new one-year deal last summer which will expire at the end of this season. He has been at Birmingham since he was 11 years-old.

Jack Storer- The 20-year-old striker contract is also up in June. He is currently on loan at Solihull Moors. Since coming up through the Blues’ academy, he has had loan spells at Yeovil Town, Gloucester and now Solihull. It looks like he will be leaving Birmingham on a permanent basis in the summer.

Andrew Shinnie- The Scottish midfielder is currently on loan at Luton Town and his deal with the Blues is also expiring. The former Rangers and Inverness man may find himself looking for a new club unless the Blues offer him a new deal.
