Aston Villa are currently 4th in the Championship and are in contention for promotion to the Premier League. However, here are 5 players who could leave them for free this summer-

John Terry- Aston Villa made the headlines in the summer when they signed the Chelsea and England legend on a free transfer. It is yet to be seen whether he will be offered a new deal or not at the end of the season. He has played 29 games for Villa so far this campaign in all competitions.

Alan Hutton- The former Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers right-back could also leave Villa Park for free. He has been with Villa since 2011 and has played over 100 games for them, as well as having loan spells away at Bolton Wanderers, Mallorca and Nottingham Forest.

Chris Samba- Steve Bruce signed the 33-year-old defender in the summer on a one-year deal to add some more experience to Villa’s ranks. However, it is yet to be known whether Villa will offer him a deal. The former Blackburn Rovers, QPR, Dynamo Moscow, Anzhi and Panathinaikos centre-back could be looking for a new club in June.

Gabby Agbonlahor- He has played for Aston Villa all his life and is their current longest serving player. His contract is up in the summer and he could be allowed to leave.
