Leeds fans left frustrated as they suffered a 2-1 loss against rivals Sheffield Wednesday which marked the first time they got the double over Leeds since 1960.
Leeds have struggled since the appointment of Paul Heckingbottom as their head coach, since his arrival Leeds have picked up six points from a possible 24 available. Likewise, Sheffield Wednesday have been on a bad run of form with the club only picking up one league win since the appointment of Jos Luhukay as manager.
Atdhe Nuhiu’s second half double helped Sheffield Wednesday secure a priceless 2-1 victory over Leeds United in wintry conditions at Elland Road.
Substitute Jay-Roy Grot appeared to have earned Leeds a share of the spoils with his first goal for the club late on but there was still time for Nuhiu to snatch Wednesday’s first win at Elland Road since 2007.
Nuhiu had earlier broken the deadlock after a goalless first half that underlined how far the two sides had fallen in the past year.
It’s understandable that Leeds fans are furious with the defeat.
I just don't understand how hiring a manager with 1 win in 16 hasn't fixed EVERYTHING? Seemed like such a fool-proof plan… #lufc

Since Millwall away, we've averaged 1 point a game. Relegation form, & that was back in September…
In 2018 we've averaged half a point a game, that's worse than relegation form
Yet, 31k fans still turned up today, & still turn up every game.
Not fair. Just disgusting. #lufc

Sheffield Wednesday are probably the worst team I’ve seen at ER this season and we lose to them 🙈 Lasogga should be starting. Losing is now a habit #lufc

The fans turn up every week, home and away. 32k today for a 14th placed team who’ve won 1 in 15. We are loud and proud and get behind our lads no matter where and when but we are constantly let down and it’s heartbreaking. #LUFC
