Five things we learnt from Steve Evans’s first game in charge of Peterborough

Steve Evans made his first appearance on the touchline for his beloved Peterborough United, his side managed to beat Charlton 4-1 and here are five things we learnt from the game –

1) Steve Evans will implement 4-4-2 at Peterborough United.

As expected Evans went with a 4-4-2 formation with Maddison and Joe Ward out wide and Portuguese teenager Leo da Silva Lopes recalled to play in a position he enjoys and performs in. Charlton managed to dominate possession, but found it to break Posh down, as much for their own poor passing tempo as for a resilient defensive display by Posh skipper Jack Baldwin and the rest of the back line.
