Paul Heckingbottom tells his Leeds United side what they must do if they want to beat Wolves

Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom has told the club website that he needs his side to be clinical if they want to beat Wolves tomorrow night.

In what is sure to be an entertaining match, Leeds will be hosting league leaders Wolves at Elland Road tomorrow. And while the West Yorkshire side haven’t been in the best form themselves, they will be heartened by the fact Wolves have had a dip of their own in recent weeks which they will be hoping to take advantage of.

Heckingbottom is positive ahead of the match tomorrow but has told his side that they will need to take all the opportunities they get as it is likely they won’t get too many. If they don’t, Wolves will be able to use Leeds to get over their recent poor form rather than the vice versa that the former Barnsley boss is hoping for.

He said: “Everyone is looking forward to this game, everyone wants to play against the team at the top of the league,”

“We are at Elland Road under the lights, the Sky cameras are there, it is a big occasion and a big game for us.”

“We want to win the game and we want a performance, this game will tell me a lot, so I’m looking forward to it.”

“Wolves are a good side, they have threats all over and they sit rightly at the top of the league.”

“Despite recent results, over their recent games, Wolves could easily have won every one.”

“We have to perform well to stand a chance and we have to be clinical in both boxes.”

“We need to restrict them as much as we can and any opportunities that we do get, we need to be taking them.”
