Sheffield Wednesday, Five players Jos Luhukay could sign for Sheffield Wednesday

Five players Jos Luhukay could sign for Sheffield Wednesday

Jos Luhukay has found life at Sheffield Wednesday tough so far and will want to bring in some of his own players in the summer. Here are five he could sign for the Owls-

Marcin Kaminski- Luhukay signed the Poland international for Stuttgart from Lech Poznan in the summer of 2016. He played a key role in Stuttgart’s promotion to the Bundesliga last season but has found it hard to nail down a first-team spot in this campaign. Luhukay could be tempted to sign him again in the summer for Sheffield Wednesday to strengthen their defence.

Jens Hegeler- The versatile German played for Luhukay at Hertha Berlin before moving to Bristol City in January 2017. He is another who has struggled to get game time but knows the Owls’ boss well and could be an option for him in the summer.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga- The big striker has been on loan at Leeds United in the Championship this season. With his loan-term future at his parent club Hamburg in doubt, could Sheffield Wednesday try and get him in the summer? He knows Luhukay well from playing for Hertha Berlin under him and the Dutch boss could potentially be tempted to try and bring him to Hillsborough.

Hajime Hosogai- Luhukay managed the Japan international at Augburg and went on to sign him for both Hertha Berlin and Stuttgart. The right-back now plays for Kashiwa Reysol in Japan but with his contract expiring in the summer, it would not be a surprise to see Luhukay try and sign him for a fourth time to add some more depth to Sheffield Wednesday’s defence.
