In-form Millwall will be looking to sneak that little bit closer to the Sky Bet Championship play-off places when they welcome struggling Sunderland to The New Den this afternoon.

The Lions have won four of their last five in the league and while they have a seven-point deficit on the top six, they are one of the form teams in the division.

Millwall manager Neil Harris has no new injury concerns to contend with ahead of the match against the division’s bottom club. Defender Byron Webster is the most notable absentee with the player currently ruled out with a knee problem.

Forward Aiden O’Brien is pushing for a return to the side following a recent ankle injury. The player is understood to be back in full training.

Sunderland arrive in SE16 winless in six matches although Chris Coleman’s men will be heartened by the 3-3 draw recorded with neighbours Middlesbrough at The Stadium of Light last weekend.

The Black Cats have a lengthy injury list which includes goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter, defender Paddy McNair, midfielders Marc Wilson, Kazenga Lua Lua and Darron Gibson and frontman Duncan Watmore. On loan Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter is also out through suspension.

There is some better news for the Wearsiders with midfield pair Ovie Ejaria and Joel Asoro declared fit to play by manager Coleman.

The match has been declared definitely on by Millwall club officials and will kick-off at 3pm. The72 will have all of the pre and post-match reaction along with live updates from The New Den.
