The managerial merry-go-round has been in full swing so far this season and it will no doubt continue until the end of the campaign. Here are 6 manager’s who will be feeling the heat at the moment-
Steve Cotterill, Birmingham City- Cotterill’s Blues have slipped into the relegation zone and many of their fans have lost patience with him. Birmingham have chopped and changed their managers over the past year or so and he could be the next to go if results do not change.
Jaap Stam, Reading- This is slightly harsh as Stam got them to the Play-Off final last season but there is no doubt that he is under pressure now with the Royals in poor form and slipping ever closer to the drop zone. He is also now being linked with a return to Holland.
Ian Holloway, QPR- The experienced boss has found it hard to get the best out of his QPR side who have been very inconsistent this season. Their fans have become frustrated with him and if results do not improve before the end of the season he could be under real scrutiny.
Mick McCarthy, Ipswich Town- This feels like McCarthy’s last season in charge of the Tractor Boys. His contract expires in the summer and he has started to get linked with other jobs.
Jos Luhukay, Sheffield Wednesday- The former Hertha Berlin and Stuttgart manager only took charge of the Owls a couple of months ago but he has struggled to make an impact. He is now under pressure to get some results to avoid them slipping into relegation danger.
Nigel Adkins, Hull City- The Tigers are out of the bottom three by just two points and relegation would be a disaster for them. Therefore, Adkins is under pressure to get the results to keep them up.
