There is always the danger that football club Q&A sessions can go spectacularly wrong and, at times, that has clearly been the case when football and social media meet.

However, that wasn’t the case at Leeds United this afternoon when Andrea Radrizzani (owner), Angus Kinnear (Managing Director) and Victor Orta (Director of Football) fielded questions from Leeds United fans.

The usual palette of questions was thrown at the trio, but it was one question directed at Victor Orta that received an interesting response from the Spaniard. When asked about the possibility of Leeds United signing on-loan striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga on a permanent deal, his response gave a little teasing hint to Leeds fans watching in.

On this point Orta said: “They are in a special situation. Pierre, he is happy in Leeds and now his family grows in Leeds with a new child. I think it is a situation we can discuss and can be a possibility. With his quality we are obviously evaluating this possibility. Pierre is showing his quality. I never doubted him because he’s a quality, top player. Now he is established, he knows more the league, he knows more his team-mates and he’s started to play with confidence.

After a blazing start to his Leeds United career, the SV Hamburg loanee had a dip and an injury knock the wind out of him but he has come bouncing back again. The former German Under-21 striker now has 10 goals for the Whites, having also weighed in with three assists. His rise back in to goalscoring form has led to a Twitter campaign of sorts with #signlassoga rising in prestige.

Now, it seems, that it isn’t just his goal-scoring prowess that is getting the attention of Leeds United fans. They can also point now to the words of Victor Orta that it is a deal that is “a possibility.”
