Peterborough United have parted company with manager and club legend Grant McCann after a run of seven matches without a win, leaving them 10th in League One. Here are five potential managers that could replace him –

Michael Appleton – The current Leicester City assistant manager is doing a fine job at the King Power Stadium. He’s had successful experiences as manager as well after subsequent spells with Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, the former Manchester United and West Brom midfielder guided Oxford to promotion from League 2 as runners-up in 2016. His side registered 24 victories, 14 draws and just eight defeats across the 2015/16 campaign.
