Jose Baxter, Everton – Once a promising Everton youngster, Baxter made a reputation for himself in League One with Oldham Athletic and Sheffield United before he was banned for failing a drugs test and then he was released from Bramall Lane. After a year out of the game, Baxter was surprisingly re-signed by Everton, but has failed to make an appearance for his boyhood club this season and looks set to be released in the summer. Given his track record in the lower divisions, Baxter would be worth a gamble for a League One side.
