Aston Villa have doubts over key duo ahead of trip to Fulham

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is sweating over the fitness of influential midfield duo Jack Grealish and Albert Adomah ahead of the Sky Bet Championship fixture with promotion rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage according to the Birmingham Mail.

Two of the most in-form sides in the division come together in West London with Fulham unbeaten in their last nine Sky Bet Championship outings while Villa have racked up seven consecutive league victories in recent weeks.

Ahead of Villa’s latest fixture at Craven Cottage, it is understood that midfield pair Grealish and Adomah are struggling with injury niggles and could be assessed by the club’s medical staff at the last minute.

Both players lasted the majority of Villa’s last match against bitter rivals Birmingham City at Villa Park last weekend before being substituted with just minutes remaining. It is believed that Adomah has tweaked a hamstring while Grealish is trying to shake off a minor knock.

Adomah and Grealish have played key roles for Villa this term and will be sorely missed if they do not win their fitness battles to feature at Craven Cottage. Adomah has weighed in with 14 goals in all competition for the club this season while teammate Grealish has been in excellent form for Villa since his return to the side following injury late last year.
