Wolves to launch move for Bournemouth midfielder after promotion

Wolves are planning to launch a move for Bournemouth’s Dan Gosling after they are promoted to the Premier League according to a report from journalist Alan Nixon.

The Black Country side are currently on top of Sky Bet Championship with an impressive tally of 71 points. This gives him a very comfortable 12 points lead over 2nd placed Aston Villa and is 13 points ahead of 3rd placed Derby County. So while the season is far from over, they feel comfortable thinking about who they want to sign upon their return to the Premier League.

Reports have already linked them with a move for AC Milan’s Andre Silva after already being linked with them during the January transfer window. And now reports say they are going to make a move for Gosling who is currently contracted to Bournemouth. He has been a regular for the Cherries this season, making 20 appearances with his last game coming today in their 4-1 loss to Huddersfield Town. But despite being comfortable in their first team, Wolves are interested in signing him.

Of course this depends on Wolves making sure they stay in the top two for the rest of the season and get promoted. But Gosling may also not want to leave the south coast and join them. As said before, he is a regular for the Bournemouth’s first team and it would be a risk to join a club that is most likely going to make a lot of big money signings if they get promoted, possibly making Gosling surplus to requirements as soon as he joins.
