Aston Villa have moved up to second in the Sky Bet Championship table after recording a 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Birmingham City at Villa Park.
Albert Adomah and Conor Hourihane got the goals for Villa in the second half as Steve Bruce’s men chalked up a seventh consecutive league win.
Villa are looking good to sustain a push for automatic promotion and after the match, fans took to Twitter to give their views on a much-welcome derby day victory.
Very good win and a very, very good performance. @JackGrealish1 is far too good for this league. #avfc

A complete #AVFC performance today. Passion, quality & determination. 2-0 flattered the noisy neighbours. @JackGrealish1 immense & Bruce once again spot on with Jedinak in DM role

That was such a quality performance. All over the pitch. So proud of the whole team. 7 in a row, 2nd in the league, best form I can remember and finally a joy to be an #avfc fan.
