Sheffield United spoiled Paul Heckingbottom’s first match as Leeds United manager as they beat them 2-1 in this Yorkshire Derby.
Heckingbottom became the Leeds manager earlier this week after the sacking of Thomas Christiansen and he was thrown straight into the deep end with a tough Yorkshire derby match against Sheffield United who will have been to make sure he didn’t get the happy start he desired.
The reign of Heckingbottom got off to the worst start possible when former Leeds striker scored a brilliant volley just two minutes into the match. But Leeds did show some resolve and got the equaliser shortly after the start of the second half with Pierre-Michel Lasogga heading in for the Whites. But United would get the win when John Fleck went down in the box and Sharp would step up to score the winner from the spot.
But what was the reaction from a fun Yorkshire derby?
