QPR youngster Chair takes a permanent seat with new Loftus Road deal

Young Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ilias Chair has penned a new long term deal with the West London club according to reports by Get West London.

The 20-year-old Belgium born forward has broken into the first team squad for the first time this season and the player is being tipped for a big future in the game.

With Chair expected to play a greater role in the first team in the coming months, QPR have moved swiftly to ensure that the youngster remains at Loftus Road for the long term and it has been reported that the midfielder has signed a new deal with the club until summer 2020.

QPR handed Chair his senior debut in their 1-0 home win over Northampton Town in the EFL Cup First Round in August. The former Lierse SK academy graduate has gone on to make a further four appearances for The R’s with his latest outing coming in the 1-0 home defeat to MK Dons in the FA Cup Third Round fixture last month.

Chair signed for The Hoops in January 2017 and the player initially featured for the club at both under-18 and under-23 levels. The Belgian has made a real impact in a relatively short period of time at Loftus Road and first team boss Ian Holloway has soon seen something special in the player.

The midfielder’s contract was set to run out this summer after Chair penned an initial one-year extension last summer.
