Leeds United are being linked with a move for Huesca midfielder Alex Gallar in the summer, according to the Spanish paper Dario de Leon.
The Spanish midfielder currently plays for Spanish Segunda Division side Huesca, the same team who Leeds signed Samuel Saiz from last summer.
Leeds have recently appointed Paul Heckingbottom as their manager. They lured the Barnsley boss away from Oakwell to replace the recently sacked Thomas Christiansen. The Whites are obviously already planning for the summer transfer window already with Gallar reportedly on their radar.
The 25 year-old is highly rated in Spain and has been the subject of interest from La Liga clubs as well. He has helped Huesca get to 6th in the second tier this season and they will be going for promotion to the top flight for the rest of the campaign.
Gallar only joined Huesca in the summer from fellow Segunda Division side Cultural Leonesa, where he scored an impressive 20 league goals the season before to help them gain promotion from the third tier. Huesca were able to sign him for just under €400,000.
He is a well travelled footballer and has played for wide variety of clubs in Spain. After starting out with Mallorca, Gallar has had spells at Terrassa, Rubí, Murcia B, Cornellà, Hercules, Cultural Leonesa and now for Huesca. He has never left his native country as of yet but with Leeds reportedly plotting a move, a move to England in the summer could be in the pipeline for Alex Gallar.
