Wolves will go in again to sign AC Milan’s Andre Silva if they get promoted to the Premier League according to a report from Italian publication Calcio Mercato.
The Black Country side have been great this season and currently sit on top of the Sky Bet Championship with a comfortable 11 point lead over 2nd placed Derby County and 12 point lead over 3rd placed Aston Villa. While there is still a lot of the season to go, Wolves must feel pretty good about their chances of returning to the Premier League. And it appears that they are already preparing for life back in the top tier as they are looking at targets they could sign if they do confirm their return.
One of the players they are looking at will be familiar to many Wolves fans as it is Silva who is currently contracted to Italian giants AC Milan. During the January transfer window there were reports that Wolves were interested in Silva as they were looking for a new striker and with the club landing several big name Portuguese players in the past giving it more credence than other reports of its kind. However this deal would not happen with Benik Afobe returning to Molineux instead.
But should Wolves confirm their promotion to the Premier League, they will be going in for Silva again as they hope to add a talented striker to their squad. Silva’s form with FC Porto shows he’s a top quality striker and eyes would certainly be trained on Wolves should that signing be confirmed.
