Derby reject Freeman bid

Derby County have rejected a bid from Sheffield United for 22-year-old Kieron Freeman.

The full-back spent the last two months of the season with the Yorkshire club and manager Nigel Clough is keen to bring the player he brought to the Rams back to Bramall Lane on a permanent basis. He’s seen as the club’s top target this summer and is seen as available after Derby bought Cyrus Christie from Coventry earlier this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Derby have turned down the Blades’ initial bid and that’s alerted the interest of several other clubs. Leeds United, Blackpool, Peterborough United and Doncaster are all said to be monitoring Freeman’s availability
