Derby County got a key win in their battle for automatic promotion as they comfortably beat Brentford 3-0.

Brentford perhaps realised that it wasn’t going to be their day halfway through the first half. One of their key creative outlets Sergi Canos was sent off in the 21st minute for a challenge on Marcus Olsson from behind and from there on in, Derby took complete control and were able to get the big win.

The opening goal came from Tom Huddlestone, a man who rarely gets on the score sheet, who was able to convert from close range. Just a few minutes after this the Rams doubled the lead with Cameron Jerome getting his first goal for the club after his shot smashed in off the ball. Then in stoppage time just as the game was about to end, Sam Winnall was taken down in the box and Matej Vydra was able to score from the spot kick to make it three.

It was a great win for Derby and here are the reactions from after the game.
