Stoke City defender set for a loan move to MK Dons

According to the Stoke Sentinel, Stoke City defender Josh Tymon may be set for a loan move to struggling League One side MK Dons.

Tymon has so far made three Premier League appearances for The Potters, but the youngster is likely to be sent out on loan as it’s unlikely he is in Paul Lambert’s current plans for survival. The 18-year-old signed for Stoke in the summer from Hull City. After Tymon made his full debut against Chelsea, he said ” I’m in a similar boat to how I was at Hull. A fringe player waiting for that chance.”

Tymon obviously just wants to be playing first-team football, and it’s likely that the League One outfit can supply him with that.

When Tymon left Hull, unpopular vice-chairman Ehab Allam stated that Tymon “made the wrong decision.”

Tymon started his career with his hometown club Hull and made five appearances last season as Hull were relegated from the top flight. The promising defender has made five appearances for the England U-20 team.

Should Tymon join MK Dons, he would be going straight into another relegation-threatened side. MK Dons currently occupy the last relegation spot in League One, but they have a game in hand on most sides around them.

MK Dons have only won seven games so far this season, and have only managed 29 goals for this season. The club have recently sacked manager Robbie Neilson as they look for a new man who can help keep them in the division.
