Fulham are eyeing up a potential £4 million swoop for QPR midfielder Luke Freeman, according to the Mail on Sunday.
The Cottagers are being linked with a raid of their fellow London and Championship side for their star midfielder.
Fulham have broken into the Play-Offs and are looking a force to be reckoned with now under Slavisa Jokanovic. They had a tough start to the season but now look to be back on track. They lost to Reading in the Play-Offs last season but are hoping they can take that one step closer to the Premier League in this campaign.
The signing of Luke Freeman would certainly boost their promotion push. He is an experienced Championship player now and would fit in with Jokanovic’s attacking style of play.
However, a move for Freeman may only happen if Fulham’s captain Tom Cairney is sold. He is being linked with a move to the top flight with West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United reportedly interested and Freeman is seen as a potential replacement if Cairney does leave.
Freeman joined QPR for just £300,000 from Bristol City last January but the London club now want £4 million for him. He has scored 5 goals since moving to Loftus Road having previously played over 100 games during his time with Bristol City.
The former Arsenal, Stevenage and Bristol City man would be a good signing for Fulham. Their fans will be hoping they can hold onto Tom Cairney and sign Freeman but the most likely outcome is they can have either or.
