QPR defender gutted with how things have gone at club

QPR’s Joel Lynch has told the club website that he is gutted with how things have gone since he moved to the club.

When QPR signed Lynch back in the summer of 2016, there were high hopes as he came with a good reputation from Huddersfield Town. However things haven’t worked out as anyone wanted. He has had several injury problems which include issues with his hamstring and foot which have limited his first team action, disappointing everyone involved as they want a top quality defender out on the pitch.

Lynch himself has admitted his frustrations with his time at QPR and has said he is gutted with how things have gone so far. But he is determined to get over his current injury problems and get back into the first team to prove why QPR bothered to sign him eighteen months ago because he has had enough of watching from the sidelines.

He said: “I am desperate to do well here,”

“I know what people must think, that I’m injured quite a lot but it’s just been really unfortunate for me and I am absolutely gutted with the way my QPR career has started to be completely honest.

“I haven’t been able to have a long run of games and it’s incredibly frustrating. I am desperate to do well for QPR and for the fans to like me as a player and appreciate what I can do.”

“That was a really frustrating time because it happened just after I’d come back from the hamstring injury,”

“It was an unfortunate one but it has given me the time to work really hard in the gym and get as fit as possible.

“It hasn’t been a complete negative for me because I have used the time as best I could. I have lost weight, got myself lean and I’m feeling a lot better now because of that.”
