Cardiff City are the massive favourites to sign Bournemouth’s Lewis Grabban according to odds published by Bet Victor.
While Grabban is contracted to Bournemouth, he spent the first half of the season on loan at Sunderland and while the club did badly are in a relegation battle, Grabban performed well and would score 12 goals in 20 appearances. But Bournemouth decided to terminate his loan with Sunderland to call it back, with some reports suggesting that they wanted to sell him permanently in this transfer window.
With Grabban having a great record in the Sky Bet Championship for a team that was struggling, plenty of clubs were interested in his signature. But it appears that if any team are going to sign Grabban during this transfer window that it will be Cardiff. This is what the bookies believe anyway as they have priced them as the 4/5 favourites to sign Grabban with no other team coming close to the odds they have been given. The Bluebirds have been very keen on signing a new striker to help fire them into the Premier League after launching a surprising bid for promotion.
Bet Victor are still offering odds on other teams to sign Grabban even though they are much longer. Both Aston Villa and Leeds United have been priced at 10/1 to sign him, much bigger than the price given to Cardiff. A price of 12/1 has been given to big spending Wolves while Fulham, Derby County and Premier League Newcastle United are just behind that with odds of 14/1.
