5 potential candidates to become the new MK Dons manager

League One side MK Dons sacked Robbie Neilson on Saturday after the club dropped into the bottom three. Here are 5 potential candidates to replace him-

Simon Grayson- The former  Huddersfield Town, Leeds United and Preston North End manager has been without a job since he was sacked by Sunderland after a poor start to their Championship season. Nevertheless, he is a vastly experienced manager and is a promotion specialist in League One. He would be a great coup by MK Dons.

Dan Micciche- The former England U16 coach has been heavily linked with becoming the new manager. He used to be the technical director of the Dons and has recently been working with the FA.

Karl Robinson- Some bookies have put Robinson high on their lists of candidates but a move back to MK Dons seems very unlikely. He did an excellent job with them in his previous tenure and is now doing well with Charlton Athletic, who are in the Play-Offs.

Alan Stubbs- The former Hibernian and Rotherham United boss is another name in the running. He has been looking for a job since being sacked by the Millers last season and he has expressed his interest in the vacant MK Dons job.

Phil Brown- Is an outsider for this job. He has recently been sacked by Southend United. He got Southend promoted from League Two and also guided Hull City to the Premier League in 2008. He is an experienced manager and will be back in football some time in the near future.
