Leeds United, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Cardiff City want Blackburn Rovers star

Leeds United, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Cardiff City are battling it out for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack, according to the Daily Star.

The midfielder only joined League One side Blackburn Rovers in the summer from Gillingham for around £750,000 but has been in fine form for Tony Mowbray’s side, scoring 11 goals.

Cardiff City are the first side to have made a move for him, however, they have seen a bid of £4 million turned down by Rovers for him. Leeds, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough have now joined the race for him as well.

Dack, 24, came up through the academy of Gillingham and went onto play over 150 games for them. He was snapped up by Blackburn in the summer as Mowbray wanted to add some players with League One experience to boost their promotion chances.

He has helped the Rovers climb to 2nd in League One and it has turned out to have been an inspired piece of business by signing him. They will now though face a tough challenge in holding onto him this month.

Leeds have now been linked with him. They have already signed Laurens De Bock and Adam Forshaw already this window but are still in the hunt for some more quality.

Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Cardiff are the other clubs showing an interest. All three of them are challenging for promotion to the Premier League and see Dack as someone who can help them get there. He will not come cheap though and will be hard to prize away from Ewood Park.
