Bristol City interested in prolific Glasgow Rangers striker

Bristol City have enquired about the possibility of signing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, according to the Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

The 21 year-old has been in fine form for Rangers this season and has scored 12 goals in all competitions for them so far. 10 of these goals have come in the league.

He will not come cheap and reportedly has big wages. However, Bristol City are keen to bolster their squad ahead of the transfer deadline and could move for the Colombian striker if the price is right.

The Robins are 5th in the Championship after a great start to the season under Lee Johnson. They have also made it to the semi-final of the League Cup. Johnson has said previously that he is keen to add some fresh faces to his side to boost their promotion push.

The potential signing of Alfredo Morelos would be a decent coup for the Robins. He has proven this season in Scotland that he is a handful and his pace and power makes him hard to defend against.

Morelos started his career in Colombia, his country that he has represented at U17 and U20 level, with Independiente Medellin. He moved over to Europe in 2016 to sign for Finnish side Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (HJK) initially on loan but then they decided to sign him permanently.

He then joined Rangers in June 2017 and has proven to be a great signing. They will now face a battle to hold onto him in this transfer window with Bristol City showing an interest.
