Sheffield Wednesday fans, you can breathe now.
Even though less and less fans care about the FA Cup, especially when you have little chance of winning it, you still don’t want to go out because a lower league team knocked you out. There is still some pride in football after all. And with their poor form recently, there was worry that Sheffield Wednesday could end up losing to Carlisle United last night.
But luckily, Jos Luhukay’s first game at Hillsborough went well. A first half goal from Marco Matias and then another from Atdhe Nuhiu in the second half made sure Wednesday would get to the next round where a fairly dull tie with Reading awaits.
