West Brom ready to make £15m move for Fulham midfielder

West Bromwich Albion are ready to make a £15m move for Fulham’s Tom Cairney according to a report from The Mirror.

Over the last few years, the 26-year-old midfielders has proven himself to be one of the best players in the Sky Bet Championship. His performances have usually been great and he was one of the main reasons the Cottagers reached the play-offs last season. Because of that, Fulham have got used to teams being interested in signing him and had to fend off plenty of teams to keep him over 2017.

And things aren’t going to change in 2018 as now West Brom are interested in signing Cairney. They are big fans of the player and are planning to spend a lot of money to make sure he is a regular presence at The Hawthorns for the rest of the season. They are currently testing the waters with a £12m bid but are ready to raise that to £15m as they look to lure him away from Craven Cottage.

While reports said that Fulham rejected a £20m bid from Newcastle United in the summer, it appears that they are ready to listen to offers this month. The West London side are looking to sign a new striker but need funds to get a top quality one. And so while they don’t really want to sell Cairney, they are currently weighing up their options and it seems more likely that Fulham will accept an offer this time than in the last few months.
