Spurs and Cherries thought to be weighing up moves for Villa ace

English Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth are thought to be weighing up moves for Aston Villa youngster Andre Green according to The Sun.

The 19-year-old Solihull born winger has gone from strength-to-strength since bursting onto the scene at Villa Park and Green is believed to be gathering plenty of admirers.

It has now been reported that top flight duo Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth are tracking the player and could submit transfer offers for the talented teenager later this month. Spurs have been watching Green for some time whilst The Cherries are said to have sent scouts to assess the winger in action throughout this season.

Green is a product of Villa’s academy system and the player has made 26 senior appearances for the club which includes seven outings this term. The wideman scored his first professional goal in Villa’s 4-2 victory over Norwich City in a Sky Bet Championship match at Villa Park in August.

The youngster has represented England on the international stage up to Under-20 level and the player is expected to push into the Under-21 reckoning in the near future.

Green has 18 months remaining on his current deal with Villa and the player is likely to command transfer bids in excess of £10 million for his services. Villa are in no rush to sell one of their talented young stars and the club are likely to try to fend off the anticipated transfer interest.
