Wolves considering move for Norwich City midfielder

Sky Bet Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers are thought to be weighing up a move for Norwich City midfielder James Maddison according to reports from the Express & Star.

The 21-year-old Coventry born attacking midfield ace has impressed at Carrow Road this season despite The Canaries’ less than impressive form.

It has now been reported that Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is believed to be an admirer of the player and the runaway Sky Bet Championship leaders are considering submitting a transfer offer for Maddison.

The youngster started his career with hometown club Coventry City and Maddison went on to make 42 appearances for the Sky Blues in which he scored five goals. In February 2016, the player joined Norwich City for an undisclosed fee although Maddison was loaned straight back to Coventry City as part of the deal.

Norwich City opted to loan the midfielder to Scottish Premiership Aberdeen at the start of last season before the player finally got his chance at Carrow Road upon his return to the club.

This season has seen Maddison play a major role for The Canaries under new boss Daniel Farke. The youngster has made 28 appearances in all competitions so far this term while he has scored seven goals.

The player is set to attract many more admirers should he continue to impress although Wolves may opt to swoop for the midfielder before Norwich City receive any other transfer offers for Maddison’s services.
