With full-backs Tony McMahon and Adam Chicksen likely to be ruled out for this weekend, it leaves the Bantams with just five senior defenders available to play – should Matthew Kilgallon and Nathaniel Knight-Percival both be fit to play against Northampton.
Given the fact that the Bantams have such a threadbare defence since the loan deals for both Luke Hendrie and Tom Field expired, it’s highly likely that Chairmen Edin Rahic and Stefan Rupp are likely to try and bring a defender in the coming days.
