Leeds United lining up move for Luton Town defender

Championship side Leeds United are lining up a move for Luton Town right-back James Justin, according to Football Insider.

The Whites are looking for a right-back after Luke Ayling suffered an ankle injury on New Year’s Day which is likely to rule him out for the rest of the season.

They have targeted Luton right-back James Justin as a replacement. The 19 year-old has been in great form for the League Two side this season.

Leeds have been busy so far in this transfer window and have just announced the signing of Laurens De Bock from Belgian side Club Brugge but now want to add another defender to their ranks. Thomas Christiansen obviously wants to bolster his squad as he looks to make a promotion push for the rest of the season..

James Justin is seen as one of the most promising defenders in the lower leagues. He was born in Luton and came up through the academy of his home-town club of whom he joined in 2005.

He signed his first professional contract in 2015 and made his debut for the Hatters on the final day of the 2015/16 season. He made his breakthrough for them last season and played 39 games for Nathan Jones’s side and won Luton Town’s Young Player of the Season.

Justin is a promising defender and one that Luton will not want to see leave them this January. However, if Leeds come in with an offer that they cannot refuse then they will have no choice.
