There’s a lot of January left…yet
Leeds United have made five signings, three of them for the Under-23s in Oliver Sarkic, Aapo Halme and Kamil Miazek and two for the first team squad in Yosuke Ideguchi and Laurens De Bock. Ideguchi is out on loan for the rest of the season at Spanish second-tier side Cultural Leonesa, whilst new signing De Bock could start against Ipswich on Saturday.
For a ‘quiet window’, Leeds United have certainly been quite busy in the window’s opening 11 days. 31 days in January, 11 gone – there’s 20 days left for Leeds United to get the company cheque book out and start riffling some pages. On the shopping list needs to be a regular goalscorer who can play the multi-skilled frontman that Leeds’ game dictates. Rumours fly that the Whites are interested in free-scoring Peterborough United frontman Jack Marriott – a player who’d thrive off the service of the midfield trio behind him.
Whoever Leeds feel they need, there is still plenty of time to shape the destiny of the next four-or-so months with what’s left of this window.
