Burton Albion will be looking to get out of the bottom three this weekend as they face QPR.
Burton sit in 22nd in the Sky Bet Championship on 24 points, the same as the place just one place above them Hull City. The Brewers only are in the bottom three on goal difference with theirs being a whole 18 goals worse than Hull’s.
The Brewers come into this one in inconsistent form in recent weeks. A loss at home to Leeds United was followed by a draw with Norwich City.
Nigel Clough’s men then picked up the best result of the day as they beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 at Hillsborough.
The Brewers missed a penalty before Tom Flanagan, Lloyd Dyer and Tom Naylor all put the ball in the net to give Burton a third successive away win.
Visitors QPR come into the fixture off the back of a very impressive home victory over promotion chasers Cardiff City at Loftus Road.
Joe Ralls put the Welsh side in front from the penalty spot before Matt Smith and Paul Symth quickly turned the fortunes of the home side around.
However, Ian Holloway’s side have not been in scintillating form before that with a draw and a loss on their travels to Ipswich and Millwall respectively.
These two met earlier in the season with it ending goalless at Loftus Road.
Jamie Mackie and Luke Freeman went closest to scoring but both weren’t able to find a way past Burton keeper Stephen Bywater.
