Brentford will be looking to make it three home league wins on the bounce when they face Bolton on Saturday.

Dean Smith’s side are currently sat in 11th in the Sky Bet Championship but are only five points behind 7th placed Sheffield United. Their visitors, Bolton Wanderers, are fighting to stay in the division following their promotion last season. 20th place is where the Trotters lie, but just a point ahead of the relegation zone.

Brentford will be looking to make it three home league victories on the bounce as they already defeated both Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday at Griffin Park. The Bees however had a minor blip in their home form last weekend as they bowed out of the FA Cup  to Sky Bet League Two side Notts County.

Smith’s side didn’t start 2018 in the best fashion either, a 3-0 defeat at the home of runaway leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers. Goals from Ruben Neves, Barry Douglas and Diogo Jota condemned the Bees to worst possible start in the new year.

Bolton Wanderers come into the game in rather inspired form having won their last two matches in the Sky Bet Championship. A 1-0 victory at Sheffield United was followed up by a 1-0 home victory against fellow strugglers Hull City. Top scorer Gary Madine’s finish was enough to secure all of the points for Phil Parkinson’s men.

Despite not making the FA Cup 4th round courtesy of Premier League side Huddersfield Town, Bolton have been very impressive this campaign.

These two sides met back in September with Brentford winning all of the points. A three goal victory with goals from Yoann Barbet, Nico Yennaris and Ollie Watkins saw the Bees take all the points back to West-London.
