5 strikers that Nigel Adkins should try and sign for Hull City

There is no doubt that Hull City should be looking to sign a striker in this January transfer window. They are currently languishing above the drop zone in the Championship and need someone to come in and score some goals. Here are 5 strikers they should target-

Jack Marriott- The Tigers have been one of the Championship clubs who have been linked with the Peterborough United striker. He has scored 18 goals for the Posh this season and could leave them this January for the right price.

Charlie Wyke- The 6ft 2inc striker has been in great form for Bradford City in League One since he signed for them in January 2016 from Carlisle United. His ability to maintain the consistency of goals he scored in League Two to League One suggests he can make the transition into the Championship.

Chris Martin- The experienced Championship striker has fallen down the pecking order at Derby County and should be targeted by Nigel Adkins. He has proven his ability to be a prolific goal scorer at this level.

Jaime Mata- The 29 year-old striker has been in fine form for Spanish Segunda Division side Real Vallodolid and has scored 18 goals in 21 games for them this season. His contract with them expires in the summer meaning he could leave them for a cut-price fee this January.

Chuba Akpom- The Arsenal youngster spent time on loan at Hull during their 2015/16 promotion season under Steve Bruce. He was only 19 years-old at the time but his passionate performances made him a hit at Hull. He may have unfinished business with the Yorkshire club.
