Five attacking transfer targets Leeds United could sign to ignite play-off chances

Ben Woodburn (Liverpool)

18-year-old Woodburn hasn’t featured for the Reds in the Premier League and is behind a multitude of star attackers at Anfield such as the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

He has also captained the Merseyside club’s youth side in six UEFA Youth League appearances, scoring in the 3-0 victory over NK Maribor and providing an assist in the 4-0 victory over Sevilla. On top of this Woodburn has turned out for the Liverpool Under-23 side in the Premier League 2 competition (five games/two goals/two assists), scoring against both Chelsea and Sunderland’s Under-23 outfits.

He is also known to Leeds fans after scoring against the Whites in last season’s cup game – becoming the youngest scorer in Liverpool’s history. Woodburn has been given the green light to head out on loan, the intention being to gain first-team football and extend his football development.

What might put Leeds United off a loan offer for the exciting Liverpool youngster is the alleged penalty system that the Reds will insist on to see that their talented youngsters get game time whilst on loan.
