Derby County, Reading and Wolves plot move for Bristol City midfielder

Derby County, Reading and Wolves are plotting a move to sign Bristol City’s Marlon Pack according to a report from the Football Insider.

The Robins have been a surprise package this season and just one year after almost getting relegated from the Sky Bet Championship they are chasing promotion. One of the main reasons they have been playing so well is because of Pack. He has been a brilliant player for them throughout the season and his great displays in the centre of midfield are a big reason why the club are fighting at the top of the league.

But these performances have been noted by the rest of the league and many of them are planning to make moves to sign them during the January transfer window. Promotion rivals Derby and Wolves alongside Reading, who are surprisingly fighting against relegation this season, are interested in signing Pack and could soon make a move for them.

With both Derby and Wolves fighting for promotion, they need extra quality to make sure they stay at the top of the table. Signing a key player from a team also fighting to jump up a league would also damage them, helping them further in their battle for promotion. Reading however are looking over their shoulder after a surprisingly poor first half of the season and are looking for anything which could turn their season around. With Pack helping the Robins escape relegation in previous seasons, his experience would be a brilliant boon for Reading.
