PREVIEW: Yeovil Town look forward to six pointer with Crawley

Yeovil Town will be looking to start 2018 with a win in a crucial six-pointer against Crawley today.

Yevoil are currently sat in 19th but a win against Harry Kewell’s Crawley could see the Somerset outfit climb above their opponents.

Crawley are sat just one place above Yeovil in 18th but are three points ahead of their opponents. A win for Kewell’s side could see them go as high as 15th.

Yeovil were on the wrong end of a spectacle on Friday night under the lights as they made the long trip to the North-West to face Morecambe.

Jake Gray scored inside a minute and Otis Kahn added a second half way through the first half.

However, it was a bizarre 20 minutes at the Globe Arena with Morecambe putting on a show to the hearty souls who had come to watch.

Vadaine Oliver was too strong at the back post to prod in to close the gap. Callum Lang scored the first of his brace shortly after to even the scores.

The Glovers took the lead with just six minutes to play when Omar Sowunmi slotted home to give Yeovil fans one last present before the New Year.

However, Callum Lang would grab his second just seconds afterwards and veteran midfielder Kevin Ellison would add a winner late into injury time.

Opponents Crawley enjoyed a victory on Saturday as they beat Stevenage in order to claim an invaluable three points at home.

Dutchman Enzio Boldewijn slotted home to secure the points and lift Crawley up the table once again.

The two sides last met back in September with Kewell’s men claiming all the points. A feat they will be looking to replicate on Monday.

Jordan Roberts struck twice in order to secure the points for Crawley.
