Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Mark Warburton after a little over nine months in charge at The City Ground.
The 55-year-old Londoner has lost his job following a poor run of form which had seen his side pick up just one point from an available 12.
Warburton’s final defeat as Forest boss saw The Reds lose 1-0 at home to struggling Sunderland despite dominating the match.
After hearing news of his sacking, Forest fans took to Twitter to give their views on the situation at The City Ground.
Another manager gone, would have given him one more transfer window to make it his squad. Who is going to be nuts enough to take on this job? #NFFC

I would have been strongly against sacking Mark Warburton until I had to sit through the last two games. The reaction at the whistle yesterday felt ominous. #nffc

Warburton at first seemed like the right fit for Forest…but one thing he never got right was the defending. Every match it was atrocious. #nffc

Warburton could have saved himself yesterday… He could have changed players and tactics before the game… But he didn't and that's why he's gone. Too stubborn for his own good #nffc

Was happy to give Warburton more time but the 2nd half against Wednesday and yesterday was pretty awful. This isn't a Fawaz sacking, at least you know there's a plan. Ward right wing and Brereton upfront tomorrow then 👌😂 #NFFC

Ridiculous decision by #nffc to get rid of another manager. Building a decent squad and making progress from last year. Can't wait to see who the far superior replacement that they've lined up is! #warburton

#NFFC Brian Clough's first season record in 1975/76 was WWDDLDDLLDDDLDLDDWLDLW. Would he have got a second season today ?

Forest are back in action on New Year’s Day when they travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United.
