Nottingham Forest could make new move for Rangers keeper

Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton could make a further attempt to raid former club Rangers for goalkeeper Wes Foderingham according to The Scottish Sun.

The 26-year-old Hammersmith born stopper is thought to have been a target of his former boss in the summer although no official transfer offer is said to have been forthcoming.

It has now been reported that Foderingham is expected to remain on Forest boss Warburton’s wanted list for the upcoming transfer window. The Reds are thought to have earmarked Brondby IF keeper Frederik Ronnow as their number one target however persuading the Danish club to sell the player could prove to be problematic and Forest could turn their attentions to signing Rangers keeper Foderingham.

The former Swindon Town promotion winner is currently first choice keeper at Ibrox and the player has made 23 appearances in all competitions for Rangers this term in which he has kept six clean sheets.

Foderingham was a double winner under Forest boss Warburton during the pair’s time together at Rangers with the Glasgow giants winning both the Scottish Championship and Scottish Challenge Cup.

The player has over two years remaining on his current deal at Ibrox and Forest may have to submit a significant transfer offer to have any chance of landing Foderingham in next month’s transfer window.
